Success of the Italian Evening at the Ohrid Summer Festival

(ANSA) – SKOPJE, 29 LUG – The Italian Evening of the 65th edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival was held on July 24 in the Church of St. Sophia in Ohrid, North Macedonia, with a concert of classical music with a strong emotional and sound impact. Once again this year, the usual contribution of the Italian Embassy in Skopje and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade to the celebrated cultural event was a success, a note said. The renowned Philharmonic Orchestra of the Bologna Municipal Theater and Maestro Davide Alogna enchanted the audience with some of the most significant pieces of the Italian symphonic tradition, in a remarkable blend of technical precision, elegance and pure passion.
On stage,” the Embassy reported in a note, “were violinists Eleonora Bartoli, Marco Domenichelli, Davide Dondi, Federica Mosa, Cecilia Popa Mare and Jessica Siciliano, violists Corrado Carnevali and Darya Filippenko, cellist Luca Provenzani and double bassist Mauro Quattrociocchi.
Once again, the note further emphasizes, through cultural diplomacy Italy succeeds in conveying its excellence to North Macedonia, resonating the notes of its musical tradition and highlighting its talents.
