(ANSA) – ROMA, 26 AGO – The exhibition “Territorio interior” created by Italian director, writer and playwright Fabrizio Catalano together with Bolivian artists Fatima Lazarte and Yefrin Acuña is open on the premises of the “Simon Patiño” cultural center in La Paz.
The exhibition, which can be visited until mid-September, includes sculptures and objects that draw inspiration from or were used in the Italian-Bolivian film “Irregular” produced and made by Fabrizio Catalano, with dancer and choreographer Fatima Lazarte.
During the opening, the feature film, which had successfully represented Italy at the “Eurocine” festival in La Paz in 2024, was screened. In her journey through the beauty and great variety of the Bolivian territory, the protagonist of “Irregular” interviews indigenous and social leaders with whom she discusses the diversity of women’s condition and, trying to overcome easy stereotypes, provokes in the audience a reflection on how the current society could change if women could be more involved in political, social and economic reality.
