(ANSA) – VARSAVIA, 29 LUG – Great success in Krakow of the second edition of a festival dedicated to promoting the Italian lifestyle, called “L’Italia in Villa,” which from July 25-27 transformed the historic Villa Decius into an authentic corner of the Belpaese in the former capital of of of Poland. The event, organized by the “Italian Institute of Culture in Krakow in collaboration with Villa Decjusza and Honorary Consulate of Italy in Krakow, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Warsaw had as a strategic partner Consorzio di tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
“In an age often dictated by frenetic rhythms and alienation of the individual, “Italia in Villa” reminds us of the value of slowness, of the taste for beauty, of conviviality,” Ambassador Luca Franchetti Pardo wrote in his inaugural greeting message. For three days, the villa and its grounds were the setting for food and wine master classes, culinary workshops, concerts, exhibitions, tastings, Italian language classes, creative workshops and gala dinners.
“Promoting Italian culture today means showing how our historical heritage knows how to dialogue with the present,” said Italian Institute of Krakow director Matteo Ogliari, according to whom “culture does not live only in museums or concert halls but in the ability to create the moments of authentic sharing.” Organizers also noted that the Polish wine market in 2024 grew by 7.3 percent and reached a value of 1.1 billion euros.
