(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 7 – Francis Ford Coppola has been discharged from Rome’s Tor Vergata University Hospital after ablation operation for his atrial fibrillation heart condition, sources said on Thursday.
The Oscar-winning American director had reassured his fans about his stay at the hospital earlier this week, saying it is for a planned procedure with an Italian doctor who has been treating him for decades and there is no need for alarm.
“Da Dada (what my kids call me) is fine, taking an opportunity while in Rome to do the update of my 30-year-old afib ( atrial fibrillation) procedure with its inventor, a great Italian doctor โ Dr Andrea Natale!” Coppola said via Instagram.
“I am well!”. (ANSA).
