(ANSA) – RIO DE JANEIRO, 22 AGO – The Consul General of Italy in Rio de Janeiro, Massimiliano Iacchini, met with Senator Mario Borghese, who was accompanied by a delegation composed of the General Council of Italians Abroad (Cgie) councilor for Argentina, Ricardo Antonio Merlo, the Cgie councilor for Venezuela, Antonio Iachini, the president of the Committee of Italians Abroad (Comites) of Espírito Santo/Rio de Janeiro, Jobson Caraffa, and the councilor of the Comites of São Paulo, Luciana Laspro. The focus of the talks was consular services and prospects for improvement for the Italian community. The delegation later visited Casa d’Italia and the ItaliaNoRio Cultural Pole, venues for initiatives supporting Italian language and culture in Brazil.
