(ANSA) – ROMA, 21 LUG – The Ambassador of Italy in Chisinau, Giuseppe Maria Perricone, attended, at the invitation of the Moldovan Defense Minister, the ceremony for the XXIII deployment of Moldovan military personnel to Kosovo under Kfor command. The first deployment was in 2014.
Minister Nosatii recalled that the deployment of Moldovan military personnel to Kosovo, in close connection and cooperation with Italian Unmik troops, “tangibly expresses the contribution Moldova intends to make to stability and peace in the international arena. This is no small effort for a neutral country with numerically limited armed forces, but consistent with the values in which the Republic of Moldova believes and with its European prospects.”
