(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 25 – Around 36.1 million Italians are having a vacation this year between June and September, including 25.4 million adults and 10.7 million minors, according to a Tecnè survey for hoteliers’ association Federalberghi that was released on Friday.
It said 88% of those holidaymakers are going on trips to other parts of Italy, with just 12 going abroad.
The survey said 33.6% of the vacationers (33.6 percent) are having more than one trip.
It said 15.7 million went away in June, with 16.1 million travelling in July, 17.5 million in August and 4.7 million in September, generating business worth around 41.3 billion euros.
