(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 14 – Three of four Roma minors who were in a car that one of them drove to kill a 71-year-old woman in a Milan street Monday have been taken from their families in a Roma camp in the Lombardy capital, official said Thursday.
Police are seeking the fourth minor, who has made himself scarce, they said.
The four are aged 12 and 13.
The death of Cecilia De Astis spurred anti-migrant League party leader, Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini to call for the camp to be razed to the ground, in the latest of a string of such calls by the rightwing leader.
Milan’s centre-left Mayor Giuseppe Sala has appealed to politicians not to make the case a political football. (ANSA).
